Okay so your formula for this problem would be 3-6 over 7-1 and the slope of the line would end up being -3 over 6. I hope I helped that's how my math teacher taught me how to do slope

PLS ANSWER DUE LATER TODAY!!!
Effectus [21]

Answer:

1. m= 1/2  b=3

2. m= 1/2  b=-2

3 and 4. answered below

5. The point of intersection is where two lines intersect.

Step-by-step explanation:

you have -x+2y=6. finding the slope is very easy, you just have to isolate y.

2y=6+x ---> y = 3+ x/2. The slope would be 1/2 for the first one. the y intercept would be 3.

To graph, there are different ways of doing it. You can do it by finding the y intercept and x intercept, by making a chart and finding plotting points, or you can do it graphing the y intercept and doing rise over run from there.

If 7056 divided X is equals to 42; y divided 112 =8, then x/y is
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Step-by-step explanation:

given

\frac{7056}{x}  = 42 \\  \\ 42x = 7056 \\ x =  \frac{7056}{42}  \\  = 168

also given

\frac{y}{112}  = 8 \\ y = 8(112) \\  = 896

therefore

\frac{x}{y}  =  \frac{168}{896}  \\  =  \frac{3}{16}

Is Y=5 and Y=-1 consider parallel perpendicular or neither show your work please and asap
nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

  parallel

Step-by-step explanation:

The "work" is to recognize that both equations describe horizontal lines. All horizontal lines on the Cartesian coordinate grid are parallel.

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

  y = constant . . . . . a horizontal line (y=0 is the x-axis)

  x = constant . . . . . a vertical line (x=0 is the y-axis)

__

If you wanted to go to the trouble, you could compare the equation ...

  y = constant

to the slope-intercept form ...

  y = mx +b

Your comparison would note that m=0. That is, the slope is zero, so the line is horizontal. All lines with the same (zero) slope are parallel.

3 sin 0 = 3 cos 20<br> what is the solution set?<br>
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

3 sinθ=3 cos 2θ

sin θ=cos 2θ

sinθ=1-2sin² θ

2sin²θ+sin θ-1=0

2sin²θ+2sinθ-sinθ-1=0

2sin θ(sin θ+1)-1(sin θ+1)=0

(sin θ+1)(2 sin θ-1)=0

sin θ=-1=-sin 90=sin (180+90)

θ=270

or sin θ=1/2=sin 30,sin (180-30)

θ=30,150

solution set is {30,150,270}
