Answer:

A. The required amount of cash payment = $9,702

B.

Explanation:

Requirement A.

Given,

Purchased merchandise = $12,600

Discount terms = 1/10, n/30

It means if the company pays within 10 days, Xanadu Company will get a 1% discount. However, the company has to pay the money within 30 days.

Again, as the company returned the merchandise of $2,800. Therefore, the remaining balance is = $(12,600 - 2,800) = $9,800.

If the company pays <em>within the discount period</em>,

the company has to pay = $9,800 - ($9,800 x 1%)

the required amount of cash payment = $9,800 - $98 = $9,702.

Requirement B.

The journal entry to record the return -

Under the perpetual system -

Accounts payable                    Debit       $2,800

             Inventory                    Credit       $2,800

Under the periodic system -

Accounts payable                    Debit        $2,800

Purchase Returns  and Allowances    Credit      $2,800

Therefore, in both the cases, Accounts payable of $2,800 is debited by Xanadu Company to record the purchase return.

Which of the following is most unlikely to present a barrier to entry into a market?
Lemur [1.5K]

The factor which is most unlikely to present a barrier to entry into a market is deregulation.

Deregulation is the removal or reduction of regulations in order to help stabilise an economy or to give traders a free market

As a result of this, we can see that deregulation does not present a barrier to entry in a market because of the removal of government barriers which otherwise would have made things difficult for a person to get into a market.

Therefore, the correct answer is option D

olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

The package of shoes and carryalls based on the sales mix expected for the coming year is:

= 4:1

Explanation:

a) This means for every 4 shoes, there is 1 carryall.

b) Data:

Company-wide Fixed costs = $91,500

Unit price of a pair of shoes = $60

The variable cost = $21

This gives a contribution to the fixed cost = $39 ($60 - $21) per unit

Unit price of carryalls = $36

The variable of carryalls = $9

This gives a contribution to the fixed cost = $27 ($36 - $9) per unit

Estimated quantity of pairs of shoes to be sold next year = 3,500

Estimated quantity of carryalls to be sold next year = 875

The ratio of shoes to carryalls = 3,500:875

= 3,500/875

= 4:1

The sales mix for Chillmax Company refers to the proportion of the company's total sales for each type of product sold (pairs of shoes and carryalls).
