Answer: we are counting on the cashier and the security at the door

Explanation:

Teh cashier is mentioned which means she was paying there for her items and we see the cashier putting her grocery on the plastic bags which is only usual done after the customer has paid .Jackie was also able to leave the store we can assume that at the door she passed through the security who checked her grocery to ensure it was paid for and then she was allowed to leave the store freely.

Defense is defined in the military as.?

The word "defense" is often understood to refer to a kind of (also known as military strategy) designed to stall an opponent rather than stop them cold.
