The cell is the is basic unit of a living organism and all the biochemical activities that the cell need to maintain live is carried out inside the cell. On the contrary, non living things do not possess cells.

For a living thing to remain alive, it must continue to carry out biochemical processes that maintain life. Most of these biochemical processes require water in order to occur, thus a living organism has to take in sufficient water in order to stay alive.

Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

The entry of food into the stomach.

Explanation:

Gastric secretion is triggered by the act of eating which is called as reflex phase and the entry of food into the stomach called a gastric phase. The entry of the food particles into the small intestine also helps to control the secretion of gastric called an intestinal phase.

The secreted fluid in the small intestine contains some ions, acids, etc such as pepsinogen, intrinsic factor, bicarbonate, hydrochloric acid, and mucus. The reflex phase or cephalic phase helps to stimulate parasympathetic neurons that release acetylcholine chemical, then it produces the higher secretion of gastric juice.

Compare how is a histone different from a nucleosome?
Oxana [17]
A histone is a protein that interacts with DNA to coil it into a nucleosome.
A nucleosome is a small unit of DNA coiled around 8 histone proteins.

Therefore, the major difference is that a nucleosome is a small structure and histones are the proteins that help form the structure.
