The US and the USSR was very different in many ways:

The primary way was that the US used a market economy, while the USSR used a command economy

Another way was that the US promoted the Democratic way of government, while the USSR promoted a more totalitarian government.

In the US, the people have more power. In the USSR, the government has more power.

These are just some ways they are different.
