How does your self-identity (the way you see yourself) affect the types of groups you belong to.

People like to be with others who have common interests or a common goal. Maybe even common personalities. The way you see yourself can affect the interests and goals that you have. Self-identity can even affect your personality. If you see yourself as a shy person, you may have a goal to make new friends. You may be interested in activities that don't require a lot of people like art and reading. Or maybe your interest in art and reading is what makes you a shy person. A shy person usually has other friends who are just as quiet. Maybe they are friends because they both enjoy drawing or like the same books. It's a difficult concept to explain, but I hope you understand. Have a nice day!
