Answer:

A). Environmental legislation alone cannot solve the poaching problem.

Explanation:

As per the question, option A i.e. 'Environmental legislation alone cannot solve the poaching problem' exemplify the statement that discloses the central idea of the given passage. The author chiefly aims to highlight the issue of 'increased poaching of animals' after passing the 'environmental legislation of outlawing the sale and trade of ivory' which implies that 'the environmental legislation alone cannot stop this trade' as it has rather increased the demand. This would also would require people's contribution along with strict imposition of these laws or legislation by punishing the offenders and by arranging appropriate biosphere reserves and national parks to conserve the endangered species and their hunting that would restrict these people from getting involved in such trade. How does Charles Dickens demonstrate that Oliver Twist had a mysterious background
Allushta [10]

Answer:

Thanks to Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist, people became more and more aware of the terrible conditions of the workhouses and were outraged by the child labor that fueled their society. As early as 1802 and 1819, Factory Acts were passed to limit the working hours of workhouse children in factories and cotton mills to 12 hours a day.

Pretend you are Sancho Panza and that you have been asked to deliver the eulogy or funeral speech at the memorial service for Do
polet [3.4K]

Dear friends, today we are gathered to say goodbye to Don Quixote, a great man, whom I have sweet memories and that will never be erased from my mind. Don Quixote was a dreamer, intelligent and courageous. Many called him crazy and throughout his life he had to live with the humiliation and mockery of his closest friends who saw him as insane for living his own convictions. I confess that I was one of those and I regret not having given my attention to him before. I believe his friends would also be sorry if they heard him without judgment, as I did when I decided to be his faithful squire.

Don Quixote was a knight inside and out, he dared to keep the wonderful world of fantasy in our cruel reality. He was noble, kind, generous and passionate ... in love with life, books, adventures, landscapes and fantasy. Today he promotes his latest adventure and while we say goodbye I ask him not to be sad to continue the walk without me, because I know that when we meet again, our trips will be even more profitable.
