The answer is letter C. fertilization.
Meiosis reduces the chromosome number from diploid (2n) to haploid (n).
During fertilization like that of human somatic cells which has 46 number of diploid chromosomes, a haploid sperm cell and a haploid egg cell combine to form a diploid zygote. Each parent contributes 23 number of chromosomes to the offspring which makes the total of 46 chromosomes. Since meiosis halves the chromosome number but the diploid condition is restored during fertilization

An electron microscope would be the best choice for viewing
gayaneshka [121]
Very small things on the order of micrometers/smaller that cannot be resolved with a light microscope. Things like viruses, non mitotic DNA, certain bacteria/cells can only be resolved via an electron microscope. Also all these things must be dead first and coated w/ a metal such as gold. Therefore in can't be used to study living organisms. Finally an electron microscope specifically a scanning electron microscope is used to study the surface of larger items w/ very high resolution.
