Answer:

Sales unit to achieve target profit =6,550 units

Explanation:

Break-even point is the level of activity that achieves no profit or loss. At this level profit is zero because the the total revenue is equal to total cost.

The break-even point is calculated as

Break -even in units = total general fixed cost/(selling price - variable cost)

ley represent tah variable cost per unit with letter "y"

5,000 = 50,000 / (25 - y)

cross multiply

5000× (25 - y) = 50,000

125000 - 5000 y = 50,000

collect like terms

125,000 - 50,000 = 5000 y

75000 = 5,000y

divide both sides by 5,000

y = 75,000/5000 = 15

Variable cost per unit = 15

Sales units to achieve target profit = Fixed cost + target profit/(selling price - variable cost per unit)

Sales unit to achieve target profit

= (50,000 + 15,500)/(25-15)

= 6,550

Sales unit to achieve target profit =6,550 units

As you get older, a Target Date Fund will adjust by…
makkiz [27]

Answer:

The correct answer is letter "B": Decreasing your stocks and increasing your bonds.

Explanation:

Target-date funds are pools of assets employees with a 401(k) retirement account can access. Target-date funds consider stocks as riskier assets than bonds, thus, more stocks than bonds are included in the fund of the employee at first. However, as soon as the date when the employee is to retire approaches, the fund automatically lowers the number of stocks in the employee's account to include more bonds, which are safer securities.

Keenan Industries has a bond outstanding with 15 years to maturity, an 8.25% nominal coupon, semiannual payments, and a $1,000 p
ycow [4]

Answer:

6.52%

Explanation:

For computing the nominal yield to call, first we have to find out the present value by applying the present value formula which is shown in the attachment below:

Future value = $1,000

Rate of interest = 6.50% ÷ 2 = 3.25%

NPER = 15 years × 2 = 30 years

PMT = $1,000 × 8.25% ÷ 2 = $41.25

The formula is shown below:

= -PV(Rate;NPER;PMT;FV;type)

So, after solving this, the present value is $1,166.09

Now to determine the yield to call we use the RATE formula that is shown in the attachment below:

Present value = $1,166.09

Future value or Face value = $1,120

PMT = $1,000 × 8.25% ÷ 2 = $41.25

NPER = 6 years × 2 = 12 years

The formula is shown below:

= Rate(NPER;PMT;-PV;FV;type)

The present value come in negative

So, after solving this, the bond nominal yield to call is

= 3.26% × 2 years

= 6.52%
