The new equation will be h (x) = g(x - 9) - 1 = 4(x - 9)² - 17 .

Explanation:

Here we have , g(x)=4x^2-16 were shifted 9 units to the right 1 down , We need to find what would be the new equation . Let's find out:

Given equation is , g(x)=4x^2-16 . Let's have transformations as

 • Shift by 9 units to the right

Here , we g(x) is shifted by 9 units to the right so equation will be

⇒ g(x-9) = 4(x-9)^2-16

transformation rules

f(x)---> f(x-a)= Graph shifted to right by a units

f(x)---> f(x+a)= Graph shifted to left by a units

f(x)---> f(x)+a= Graph shifted upwards by a units

f(x)---> f(x)-a= Graph shifted downwards by a units

 • Shift by 1 units to down

Here , we g(x) is shifted by 9 units to the right so equation will be

⇒ g(x-9)-1 = (4(x-9)^2-16)-1

g(x - 9) - 1 = 4(x - 9)² - 17.

Simplifying further

⇒ g(x-9)-1 = (4(x^2+81-18x)-17

⇒ g(x-9)-1 = (4x^2+324-72x)-17

⇒ g(x-9)-1 = 4x^2-72x+306

Therefore , The new equation will be h (x) = g(x - 9) - 1 = 4(x - 9)² - 17.

How did the scientific revolution help lead to the industrial revolution
Shkiper50 [21]

The successes of the Scientific Revolution, and Newton’s achievement in particular, provided inspiration to innovators for centuries to come. It was proof that we could advance knowledge, that we could understand the world, that science and mathematics were powerful tools. It was a down payment on Bacon’s promise: that life could be bettered through the discovery of useful knowledge.

Which of the folllow was a direct economic effect of the Spanish American wat in the United States
Crank

Answer:

The answer is A. The US acquired new overseas territories, leading to increased trade.

Explanation:

Before the SPAM War started, Cuba was attempting to launch a revolution from the Spanish to gain their independence. America saw this and became allies with the chain of islands under Spanish control. However, the US did not want to initiate warfare unless acts of war were put against them, per the "Big Stick Policy" by Teddy Roosevelt. The war was finally initiated when Yellow Journalism, when newspapers exaggerated stories, caused Americans to jump to conclusion that the SS Maine, in Havana Cuba, was sunk by the Spanish. (It was later discovered that it was an engine explosion on behalf of human error). Anyway, the Cubans got their chance at independence when America decided to join them in battle. After the war was won, Cubans gained their independence and the US got the rest of the islands (The Phillippines, Guatemala, etc.). This allowed American ships to have naval bases, increase manufacturing and trade, and allow for easier shipping for materials that could be traded in Western continents.

Hope This Helped!
