A∪B includes both of the two venn diagrams entirely.
A∩B includes only the intersection of the two venn diagrams.

Medians $\overline{dp}$ and $\overline{eq}$ of $\triangle def$ are perpendicular. if $dp= 18$ and $eq = 24$, then what is ${de}$
monitta
Denote by M the point of  intersection of the medians.
Denote also the distance DM by x and the distance QM by y.
From the median properties of triangles we know that
 y=\frac{1}{3}\timesFQ=\frac{1}{3}\times24=8
Also,
x=\frac{2}{3}\times DP=\frac{2}{3}\times 18=12
Since the medians are perpendicular, we deduce that:
x^2+y^2=DQ^2\iff DQ=\sqrt{8^2+12^2}=14.4
Then, since DE=2\times DQ\text{ then }DE=2\times 14.4=28.8

Some parts of California are particularly earthquake-prone. Suppose that in one metropolitan area, 32% of all homeowners are ins
Bumek [7]

Answer:

P(X = 0) = 0.2138

P(X = 1) = 0.4025

P(X = 2) = 0.2841

P(X = 3) = 0.0891

P(X = 4) = 0.0105

Step-by-step explanation:

For each homeowner, there are only two possible outcomes. Either they have invested in earthquake insurance, or they have not. The probability of a home owner having invested in earthquake insurance is independent from other homeowners. So we use the binomial probability distribution to solve this question.

Binomial probability distribution

The binomial probability is the probability of exactly x successes on n repeated trials, and X can only have two outcomes.

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

In which C_{n,x} is the number of different combinations of x objects from a set of n elements, given by the following formula.

C_{n,x} = \frac{n!}{x!(n-x)!}

And p is the probability of X happening.

32% of all homeowners are insured against earthquake damage.

This means that p = 0.32

Four homeowners are to be selected at random.

This means that n = 4

Find the probability distribution of X.

This is the probability of each outcome

P(X = x) = C_{n,x}.p^{x}.(1-p)^{n-x}

P(X = 0) = C_{4,0}.(0.32)^{0}.(0.68)^{4} = 0.2138

P(X = 1) = C_{4,1}.(0.32)^{1}.(0.68)^{3} = 0.4025

P(X = 2) = C_{4,2}.(0.32)^{2}.(0.68)^{2} = 0.2841

P(X = 3) = C_{4,3}.(0.32)^{3}.(0.68)^{1} = 0.0891

P(X = 4) = C_{4,4}.(0.32)^{4}.(0.68)^{0} = 0.0105

The 2nd term in a geometic sequence is 20. the fourth term in the same sequence is 45/4 or 11.25. what is the common ratio in th
Over [174]
Let x be the value of the third term.
Since it's a geometric sequence, then:
Third term/Second term = Fourth term/Third term
x/20 = 11.25/x
Cross multiplication:
x^2 = 225
x = 15
So since the ratio is constant, then it is
x/20 = 15/20 = 3/4
So the common ratio is 3/4 or 0.75.

Express the function F in the form f ∘ g. (Enter your answers as a comma-separated list. Use non-identity functions for f(x) and
damaskus [11]

Answer:

F(x) = f \circ g

f(x) = x + 2 and g(x) = x

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

F(x) = x + 2

Required

Express as

F(x) =  f \circ g(x)

In functions:

f \circ\ g(x) = f(g(x))

So, we have:

f(g(x)) = x + 2

g(x) can be set to x and f(x) to x + 2

Hence:

F(x) = f \circ g

When: f(x) = x + 2 and g(x) = x
