What is the use of vocabulary?

All aspects of communication—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—benefit from a strong vocabulary. For the following reasons, vocabulary is essential to a child's success: Gaining vocabulary has a direct correlation with academic success. The capacity to learn to read is predicted by a child's kindergarten vocabulary size.

Rather than being subtly different from another thesis, a nuanced thesis discusses the minor differences. It is not nuanced if it simply considers one "variation". It is nuanced if it considers more than one and explains why or how they differ (slightly).

What can you infer about Lennie's childhood and family life in the book of mice and men?
Valentin [98]
I think you could perhaps get that someone may have helped him and looked after him in a way that he didn't need to be very independent, George is always helping him and telling him things they don't have.. This could be down to his mental health but also down to his childhood. Just what I got from it..hope it helped a little :)

What technique makes both excerpts effective? the use of repetition an appeal to logic an appeal to credibility the use of image
lora16 [44]

Answer:

The use of repetition.

Explanation:

Repetition is elucidated as the literary device in which the author involves repetition of certain words or phrases in order to emphasize or highlight a particular significant idea and make it more clear, effective, and noteworthy for the readers.

In the given two excerpts from "The American Dream” speech by Martin Luther King Jr. and 'Governor George Wallace's inaugural address, the 'repetition' has been used as a technique to highlight the key ideas efficiently. In the first excerpt, the repetition of the word 'dream' emphasizes King's idea of 'dream view of America where men of all races, of all nationalities and of all creeds can live together as brothers.' In the second excerpt, the repetition of the word 'political' and 'race' throws light upon Wallace's idea of ' respecting the rights of others to be separate and work from within their political framework.'
