Photosynthesis is where carbon dioxide, water, and chlorophyll interact in the presence of sunlight to form carbohydrates. Find
Serggg [28]

Answer:

Explanation:

Remark

The problem is where. Photosynthesis is not a location. It is a process plants use to provide food for themselves. I'm not a biologist, but this how I imagine the sentence could be corrected.

Answer: Photosynthesis is the process by which plants transform the environmental elements of sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into needed carbohydrates. This process is accomplished by the green pigment in the plant identified as the chemical chlorophyll.

I think I've fixed the problem, but I've made the thought more complex by simplifying it, if that makes any sense. If someone else answers this, I'd likely take that answer. Anyway, what I've written does fix the problem.

Which verb mood would work best for expressing a wish that is unlikely to come true?
noname [10]
The subjunctive mood is the best.

The subjunctive is rarely used in colloquial English. Totally irrelevant information, but... it is a relic from Latin, where there are many uses for a subjunctive. There is even a special conditional using the subjunctive mood that expresses the exact circumstances you described, which is usually called future less vivid.

2. What are Haimon's arguments that he presents to tell Creon he's making a mistake about his judgment of Antigone?
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

To show that Creon was not right about his judgment of Antigone, Haimon told the story of a captain who was wrong even when he was doing the right thing.

Explanation:

Haimon did not agree with Creon's judgment on Antigone, although Creon was sure he was correct. For this reason Haimon cited a story as a wise and delicate argument to get Creon to reflect on his actions and thoughts about Antigone.

Haimon quoted the story about a captain who left the sails and stretched, because he knew this was the right thing to do and was sure he was doing good to his ship and his crew. However, the ship was tipped over by the wind and the sea, showing that the captain's certainty about the sails was incorrect in preventing the ship from tipping over. With that, Haimon is telling Creon that everyone can make mistakes inside things he believes are correct, so he should reassess the judgment that Antigone was receiving.
