The city of new orleans is in the delta of a great river. during hurricane katrina most of the city flooded but the area along t

he river, like the french quarter, did not. why didn't these areas flood?

The reason why the area of the City of New Orleans which is in the Delta of Great River were not flooded is because these areas are geographically covered by natural leeves of the river,  these leeves are higher in elevation compared as compared to the adjacent areas, thus the flood water wouldn't have reached these high points.<span />

I am pretty sure that with Hammurabi's Code, they threw he who is being accused into a river and if he could survive and make it across, he was not guilty. If he drowned, he was charged as guilty.

How did European imperialism following the Industrial Revolution differ from earlier forms of imperialism?

<span>C. It was used in Africa and Asia rather than the Americas. SInce the Industrial Revolution, European countries needed more raw materials to use for their consumption. Asian and Africa are continents that are rich in raw materials and the only way to get the raw materials is to dominate and colonize the countries in that continents.</span>
