Jarring is an adjective, in the context of the sentence it means harsh or grating. It's quite an unpleasant sound the trumpet is making!

Jarring is used to describe something or someone that has a harshly concussive, disagreeable, or discordant effect. The word also makes reference to something or someone incongruous in a striking or shocking way. In this case, it describes the noise produced. As you can notice, it does not have a positive connotation in the sentence and the following sentence affirmed it: "everyone quickly covered their ears!"

I read this book forever ago so I will try my best. The main character meets this on girl and walks her to her house. I remember that he used bright world. This means that the girl was pure in heart. I can't remember but if you find the page it is on then you will see words like feather, white, and other words that go along side purity.

I hope this helps! Have a great day!!

P.S When it refers to a house as "fireproof" it means that there are no books in the house.

ololo11 [35]

Answer:

I think he’s able to explain complex political topics (i.e., guns, income inequality) in simple, narrative ways that the public can easily understand. He also has a strong political point of view which makes his documentaries inherently more entertaining. Just my two cents...
