The skeletal systems runs through virtually the entire body, allowing it to support the body and absorb shock during motion. However, it also protects several vital organs. The pelvic bones surround the internal reproductive structures and lower abdominal organs, the ribcage protects the digestive system, lungs, and heart, and the skull surrounds the brain.
The Skeletal system in the body is in between the skin/muscle tissue, and the organs. Our bones offer protection to most of our vital organs. ex: our skull protects our brain and our chest plate protects our heart and lungs.
