Answer: Setting a purpose for reading helps keep students focused and engaged while reading, and gives them a mission so that comprehension can be reinforced. Reading with purpose motivates children and helps students who tend to rush, take their time reading so they won't skip over key elements in the text.

Explanation: basically have a conversation with the text.

In a complex behavior, such as reading and interpreting a poem, how many brain systems are typically involved?
aalyn [17]

Answer:

The hippocampus inside our brain consists of two “horns” that curve back from the amygdala. The hippocampus is important in storing information in long-term memory. If the hippocampus is damaged, a person cannot build new memories, living instead in a strange world where everything he or she experiences just fades away, even while older memories from the time before the damage are untouched. In this way it can help in reading and interpreting a poem.

7) How is the location (scene) of the church different in the novel compared to the location (scene) in the movie?
marishachu [46]
The book describes the Greasers as having all different types of hair color, some even having blonde hair including Dally whose hair is described as almost white, but the movie chooses to give more distinction between the Greasers and the Socs by giving the Greasers dark black hair and the Socs lighter hair colors.
