Pat Schroeder felt responsible for being the part of the rare women representatives after she got fired on the Capitol Hill due to gender discrimination. She challenged herself and ended up with a list of accomplishments being in the congress. One of which is being the first woman that is able to serve on the Armed Services Committee.
