Answer:

The witnesses' testimonies.

Explanation:

Both options A and C are incorrect. The possessive in A showing ownership is in singular form. Therefore combining it with plural noun " testimonies' is incorrect.

Furthermore, the placement of possessive marker in C is incorrect too because the possessor is in singular form.

Answer:

B. the witnesses' testimonies

Explanation:

<em>A. the </em><u><em>witness's</em></u><em> </em><em>testimonies</em>

The underlined is a singular form of a possessive common noun. It should be in a plural form, considering the <em>bolded </em>text above( testimonies).

<em>B. the </em><u><em>witnesses'</em></u><em> </em><em>testimonies</em>

This is the correct option. The undelined is properly personalized and it is also pluralized to match the bolded text above.

<em>C. the witness' testimonies</em>

Same as option A.

in the story Flowers for Algernon, explain what Charlie's report, "The Algernon-Gordon Effect" reveals about the results of the
lawyer [7]
The "Algernon-Gordon Effect", in Charlie's words, is "the logical extension of the entire intelligence speed-up", which can be described in the following terms:

"Artificially-induced intelligence deteriorates at a rate of time directly proportional to the quantity of the increase".

In other words, the smarter a subject becomes after the experimental operation, the faster that newly-gained intelligence will eventually disappear.

At the height of his intelligence after his operation, Charlie studies his own and Algernon's progress, collecting data and performing mathematical analysis on what he has found.  He is disturbed because he has observed that Algernon's development suddenly begins to deteriorate, and, knowing that the same thing is going to happen to him, he struggles to find out why, while he still has the mental capacity to do it.  Charlie does indeed figure out the reason for Algernon's, and eventually his own, precipitous decline.  He writes up his findings in a report which he sends to Professer Nemur, which affirms that "the surgery-and-injection techniques develooped by (the Professor) and Dr. Strauss must be viewed as having little or no practical applicability, at the present time, to the increase of human intelligence".  In laymen's terms, the experiment is a failure (August 26).

When Charlie returns to work immediately after his operation, his co-workers treat him as they always have, some with an attitude of friendly comaraderie and others with cruel teasing.  Charlie has not yet noticed any changes as a result of the surgery and has been instructed not to tell anyone what the operation was supposed to do, so his co-workers do not know that anything might be different about his intelligence.  When it soon becomes evident that Charlie is becoming smarter and better able to understand the various facets of his job, his boss is amazed, and gives him more responsibility.  As he begins to advance in the business, however, some of his workmates, specifically those who had treated him so badly before, react with jealousy and resentment (March 21, April 1).

What does moon shadow think of the demons and the land of the golden mpuntains
Alecsey [184]
We meet our narrator, who remembers his boyhood with his mother in the Middle Kingdom (or "China," if you don't want the Chinese to English translation) while his father worked in the Land of the Golden Mountain (the USA, "the demon land," etc.).We learn that the narrator's father is working overseas to earn money. The racial tension and violence in America is immediately addressed when we learn that the narrator's grandfather was lynched thirty years ago (1.1).The narrator's mother pulls the weight on the family farm in China. Her mad busy schedule also doubles as a convenient excuse to avoid the narrator's questions about his father and America. Not only is she busy with the chickens, the rice fields, and the pig, the narrator's mom also prays and burns incense for her husband in the village temple. We also learn that the narrator has never met his father. He and his mother cannot live in the Land of the Golden Mountain with his father because of political reasons both on the American front and the Chinese side. We learn that this affects many families, the narrator's being one.The narrator refers to his race of people as people of the Tang, not as Chinese (1.5). This specificity alludes to the long history of what we know as China and the multiple dynasties that have ruled its people. We learn that the narrator's mother and grandmother are illiterate, much like the majority of the people in their village. The family relies on the village schoolmaster to read and take dictation to write letters to Father. We learn that Father's letters arrive on a weekly basis (1.6).The narrator knows very little about his father, but he is thrilled by this one thing his mother has told him: his father makes amazing kites. Not like the kind you get for a couple bucks at the grocery store, mind you – but kites that "were often treasured by their owners like family heirlooms" (1.7).The narrator recounts moments when he and his mother would go out flying his father's kites. One of these kites was a swallow, an especially fast kite. Another was of a caterpillar. We learn that the narrator is seven years old (to an American catalogue of time); he shares that the Tang people include the gestation period of a baby as its first year, so by his count he's eight.Mother comes alive whenever the narrator and she go fly kites, chattering away about the times she and Father would go kiting together.Grandmother tells the narrator about the Land of the Golden Mountain, explaining that the name for the land abroad comes from the huge mountain there where gold is plentiful. She tells the narrator that "the demons" (that seems a fair way to refer to Americans, eh?) patrol the mountain and beat up anyone who does other than they're told (1.16).
