Khrushchev surprised the world and the Soviet people in 1956 when he made a speech before the Communist Party Congress denouncing Stalin. Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev was a political leader who was born on April 15th in the year 1894 and died on 11th of September in the year 1971.

The Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches work together yet separately to run the government. This makes sure that no one person or group can control the government, and all branches have to agree. This ties into checks and balances, where each government branch makes sure the others are doing their job and being responsible.
