Ans. The correct word to be filled in the blank is 'transgenic.'

Insulin-dependent diabetes or type 1 diabetes  is a metabolic disorder, characterized by insulin deficiency. It results in an increased level of blood glucose as their is no or very little insulin in blood to regulate the blood sugar level.

It can be treated by taking recombinant insulin, made from recombinant DNA technology. The recombinant insulin is synthesized artificially in microbes, by introducing insulin coding human gene in there genetic material. These recombinant microbes with foreign DNA molecule (transgene) are known as 'transgenic microbes.'

As children grow, they generally consume more calories, decide if they want to eat, and how much they want to eat. What is the r
inna [77]

Answer:

Option C

Explanation:

In general,  the amount of nutrient served to an adult is equal to 50% of the nutrient served to adults. The amount of calories consumed by an adult is equal to 2000 to 2800 calories per day. Therefore, the calories required by a young kid is equal to 1000 to 1400 calories per day. Considering this, a nutrient feed of 3 tablespoon is sufficient to cater the calorie requirement of young children of age above 3 years

Hence, option C is correct

Outline and explain the steps of translation.

Ever wonder how antibiotics kill bacteria—for instance, when you have a sinus infection? Different antibiotics work in different ways, but some attack a very basic process in bacterial cells: they knock out the ability to make new proteins.
To use a little molecular biology vocab, these antibiotics block translation.
