The children realize that they had forgotten their friend, Margot, who would have really enjoyed the one day of summer. They must feel extremely guilty, and know that they will have to face Margot. What can they say?
It's an internal conflict as, all the students regretted because of their action of locking Margot into the closet and completely forgetting her when the rays of sunlight peeped out . Margot was the one who said the sun would be out that day whereas the rest of the children were against her.
