Since Conrad and Terry have a prejudice towards each-other, it won't change in the case of the competitive obstacle course. Indeed, considering that it is a competitive activity it is likely that prejudice between Conrad and Terry will increase. Prejudice has a negative connotation and competition will trigger it further.

Answer:

The most likely effect of the contact between Conrad and Terry when participating in a competitive obstacle course if they have prejudice and hate for each other is...

a. Conrad and Terry are likely to experience increased feelings of prejudice.

<em>Explanation:</em>

<em>Psychology can give us the answer we need to understand why Conrad and Terry would have prejudice and hate for each other because social psychology focuses on the power of the situation and it examines how we think about competition, influence, and also how relate to one another in certain conditions.  </em>

<em />

<em>"Did they do what they did because of their personality? Or was it their situation?" </em>

<em />

<em>Psychologist Fritz Heider began exploring the depths of this question when he was developing what's now known as the Attribution Theory.  </em>

<em />

<em>Attribution theory simply suggests that we can explain someone's behavior by crediting either their stable and enduring traits, also known as their disposition or the situation at hand. And we tend to attribute people's behavior to either one or the other. Whether Conrad and Terry's behavior is dispositional or situational is irrelevant. Competition can only make this situation worse. </em>
