The economically developed countries are the biggest users of the resources in the world. This can be very easily seen if we combine the two biggest economies in the world, China and the United States, which use pretty much half of the all resources in the world that are on the market. Because these types of countries are highly developed, highly industrialized, the technology is at much higher level and used in the daily life by the people, they need more and more resources to satisfy the demand for this, and instead of the gap to be becoming smaller between the developed and not developed economies, it is actually increasing.
