Explanation:

<u>This paragraph offers three major details about the claim. The claim is that chimpanzees are skillful tool-users. I believe it is c. Sentence 4 because it states that Chimpanzees use leaves. It introduces key details to support that claim. It also asks where the second major detail in the paragraph is introduced.I hope this helped and im not sure that this is the correct answer but i believe so.

Arada [10]

Answer:

C) because that is how she would have talked back then

Explanation:

In the given excerpt, Zora Neale Hurston's choice of words and imaginative ideas have been highlighted. The thoughts and ideas that she wants to convey to the readers depicts her conviction towards marking the Negro lives. She portrayed the characters in a different way by hiding their characteristics behind a mask. She disguised the characters and mixed them with her imagination. This helped her depict the characters and associate them with the environment.

In the given excerpt, an example of choice of words of Huston has been highlighted. The words that ran in her mind are written exactly the same way. This symbolizes her connection with her culture.

Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

Alabama’s segregation laws were unconstitutional.

Explanation:

The Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America states that everyone has the right to equal protection, privileges of the law irrespective of one's race or color. This means that even blacks have the same rights to ride or use public transport as whites.

So, the bus boycott that resulted because of a segregated seating for blacks was deemed rightful. The Supreme Court in its December 20, 1956, ruling states that all persons, irrespective of race or color, must be given the same treatment. The court ruled Alabama's segregation laws unconstitutional and resulted in the integration of Montgomery buses the next day.

Thus, the correct answer is the first option.
