What does a summary of a fiction text include

English
1 answer:
UNO [17]3 years ago
7 0

A summary includes information from the entire text, written in your own words, but includes details from the story.  In other words, one should be able to read the summary and know exactly what the story was about without knowing every single, little detail.  It should include character names, part of the conflict, and part of the resolution.  For example, a summary of Finding Nemo would be:  In the animated film Finding Nemo, the main character is a clown fish, who doesn't do what his dad wants him to do causing him to be taken by a diver.  Nemo's dad spends the rest of the film trying to find Nemo and rescue him.  Once Nemo is found, there are many obstacles they must still overcome in order to bring Nemo home safe and sound.

Analyze how the free-verse structure in the poem “Tattoo” by Gregg Shapiro reveals Shapiro’s message.
vfiekz [6]
The free-verse structure is in line with the poem's message about the suffering of a human being that was deprived of freedom. It is as if the poet desperately (and in vain) tries to break all the cruel constraints that his father had suffered in the concentration camp. The verse is free, but the structure is still stanzaic - it is impossible to recover from the trauma, however hard one might try.

The free verse also brings a conversational tone to the poem, breaking it free of all artificial techniques, and giving the content primacy over the form (up to a point). The message is just too important.
