Is part of the story. Examples of this are <em>Percy Jackson</em>, <em>Maximum Ride,</em> and many, many other books.

2. Well, first off theme is shaped by the character, setting, and even the plot of the story. Setting affects the theme in major ways! It contributes to plot and the characters. Without setting...there will be no plot for the story.
