In every act of war engaged in, silled general has always known the need for the soldiers to rest while skirming on how best to win a war with the opposing group. Lieutenant Colonel Tarleton failed in that aspect at the Battle of Cowpeas.

After travelling a very far distance in pursuit of the American troops, he should have allowed his men to rest before engaging in the fight rather than starting to fight immediately he arrived, knowing fully well that his men are tired fro their travelling.

Thatr singular tactless war error caused him to loss over half of his men with him barely escaping with his own life from the battle.
