Solution:

$\Rightarrow a \cdot b =c \cdot d$

$\Rightarrow 11 \cdot 8 =2 \cdot x$

$\Rightarrow 88 =2x$

Divide by 2 on both sides.

$\Rightarrow\frac{88}{2} =\frac{2x}{2}$

$\Rightarrow 44 =x$

Switch the sides.

$\Rightarrow x=44$

The value of x is 44.
