Answer :

A. Chekhov's use of the third-person limited point of view in "The Bet" allows him to describe the banker's self-contempt when the banker reads the lawyer's essay.

The banker had turned immoral after thinking about the consequences of the bet and intends to kill the lawyer to avoid paying him the money. The non-existent narrative voice in Chekhov's "The Bet" captivates the reader to delve into the mind of the banker and understand the feelings of self-contempt and disdain that he is experiencing upon reading the lawyer's essay.

Is Reagan’s claim, or position, about the space program credible and supported by logical reasoning and evidence?
marissa [1.9K]

Reagan claimed that the in the future, the space program would be not only much safer, but also a source of pride despite all the mishaps from Challenger.

His claimed is absolutely credible and supported by logical, since the empiric evidence shows us that sacrifices and adversities are romanticized throughout history. Not only that, explorers and inventors tend to be exalted in future generations. Columbus is still talked about and so will be Neil Armstrong for stepping on the moon.

In addition to that, it is noted that technology evolves faster every year and safety goes along with it. Cars, for example, are much safer with better break technology and airbags, for example. Space exploration, even though it is still being perfected, is so much safer today than it was when it all started and will be much safer in the future.

What type of conflict is man vs. nature?

internal

external
Marysya12 [62]
Answer: (B) External

If it were internal, then it would be "Man Vs. Self." It would be in his mind. But he is fighting nature. He is fighting something other than himself. Something outside. (Not literally.)
