Answer:

x=2,y=-6,z=-1

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello, I think I can help you

Let

equation 1 (1)      4x-16z=24

equation 2 (2)    2x-3y-3z=25

equation 3 (3)     2x+2y-3z=-5

equation 4 (4)     4x+2y+2z=-6

to eliminate x and z , we can do

(2)-(3)

2x-3y-3z=25

-(2x+2y-3z=-5)

____________

0-5y-0 =30

-5y=30

divide each side by -5

-5y/-5=30/-5

y=-6

to eliminate y , we can do

(3)-(4)

2x+2y-3z=-5

-(4x+2y+2z=-6)

___________

-2x+0-5z=1   equation (5)

Now, to eliminate z do, (1)+2*(5)

(1) 4x-16z=24

2*(5)=-4x-10z=2

(1)+2*(5)

4x-16z=24

-4x-10z=2

_________

0-26z=26

-26z=26

z=26/-26

z=-1

from (1) isolating x

4x-16z=24

4x=24+16z

x=6+4z

x=6+4(-1)

X=2

N the function y = 12.00x + 50, y represents the cost of carpet by the square yard and x represents the number of square yards.
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

The cost increase for each square of carpet by 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given function is

y=12.00x+50

It is a slope intercept form of the line

y=mx+b

Where m is the slope and b is y-intercept.

Therefore the slope of given function is 12 and the y-intercept is 50.

It means the initial ot fixed cost of the carpet is 50 and the cost increased by 12 for each square of carpet.

Which equation represents a line perpendicular to the line shown on the graph?
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

See description below.

Step-by-step explanation:

To choose the correct equation, find the slope of the line on the graph. Identify two points on the line. Then subtract to find their rate of change using the slope formula.

m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

When you know the slope, find the negative reciprocal. For example, if the slope is 2/1 then the negative reciprocal is -1/2. This is the slope of a perpendicular line to a line with slope 2. Choose the equation which has this same slope.

Example:

y = 2x -1

y= -1/2 +5
