Which sentence uses the word them as an indirect object?

The first sentence. "Them" is an indirect object because you aren't sending "them", you're sending the postcard. Also, you can only have an indirect object when there is an action verb (sent) and when there is a direct object (postcard); linking verbs such as "is" and "are" do not have indirect objects or direct objects. Hope this helps!

The sentence that uses the word them as an indirect object would be Leo sent them a postcard from NASA.
Hope this helps and good luck with whatever it is you're doing!

What did snowball hope to accomplish on animal farm when he was there??
Svetllana [295]

Answer:

Snowball wants to build a windmill so it can power a machine to create electricity on the farm. The electricity also will be used to power numerous machines that can perform the work the animals must do, providing them with more leisure time. With the windmill in operation, all the animals will have more time to relax and to “improve their minds with reading and conversation.”
