Answer:

The theme in The Oilman and His Sons:

There was quality in solidarity and that family should help one another. When the log was entire, it was troublesome for them to break however once it was separated into littler pieces, it broke easily.

When they each had a lot of their legacy, they fell into poverty. The dad told his children that they ought to help each other. When one individual in the family is in need, the others must help.

The main theme of the story is the importance of sticking close to your family. There are two anecdotes, or riddles, that the father presents and both depict how important it is for families to stick together.

If snow is white,why then her breasts are dun.. the literally device
Savatey [412]
Sonnet 130

My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun;
Coral is far more red than her lips’ red;
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun;
If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head.
I have seen roses damask’d, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks;
And in some perfumes is there more delight
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak, yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound;
I grant I never saw a goddess go;
My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground:
And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare
As any she belied with false compare.

Hope I can help you!
