Answer:

In 1924, four planes began the first flight around the world. The flight started in Seattle and took 175 days to make it back. Along the way, pilots made several stops in countries such as Japan, India, and Turkey. Due to weather and engine problems, only two of the four planes made the whole trip. The flight, about 27,000 miles long, helped make today's international travel possible.
