Which event signaled a directional change for the SNCC?

History

A new stage in SNCC's history began in May 1966, when Stokely Carmichael was elected as chairman and leader. This event marks a decided, directional change in SNCC's philosophy. Carmichael identified himself with the trend away from interracial cooperation and nonviolence, making "Black Power" prominent in his administration. The goal of the Black Power was to create and empower a strong racial identity for African-Americans, giving them shared rights to vote, organize, and protest. This compromised SNCC's relationship with its white supporters and with its more moderate civil rights groups.

Case: Brown v. Board of Education, Topeka -How might life be different for society today if the court had ruled the opposite way
andrezito [222]
Uh to put it simply, schools would likely still be segregated. SCOTUS (Supreme Court) ruled in Brown v. Board of Education that U.S. state laws establishing racial segregation in public schools are unconstitutional, even if the segregated schools are otherwise equal in quality. So, if not for Brown, schools would likely still be segregated. You can rewrite this and put it into your own words if need be.
