Answer:

The townspeople seem to view Joe as an authoritative figure who deserves to be well-respected. As a natural leader with lots of confidence, Joe could easily establish himself in town. The townspeople were impressed by him and thought how lucky his wife, Jane, was. One example of how Joe asserted his authority was when he started to set a committee meeting in order to address the issues in town, such as the expansion of the town's land which he actually did. He was also able to build crossroads in time and upgrade other aspects in town, such as installing street lights.

Explanation:

The question above is related to the the novel entitled "Their Eyes were Watching God." It is a novel written in the 1920s by Zora Hurston, an American author.

The story centers on the life of Janie, an African American woman who married Joe as a second husband. Joe was considered a charming man who could easily manipulate young Janie. Little did the townspeople know what Janie actually felt as Joe's wife.

How are ancient Greece social classes similar to u.s social classes
Natasha2012 [34]

Explanation:

Social class is a ranking based upon one's status in society. Similar individuals with similar incomes, property, and jobs are often grouped into the same social class. For example, in the U.S. there are approximately five social classes that most people can agree on: the upper class, the upper middle class, the lower middle class, the working class, and the poor class. Each of these classes is characterized by ownership, or lack thereof, of material things, standing in life, and/or influence and power.

One regulation the Federal Reserve imposes on banks is that they guarantee a portion of their money be available for their depos
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer: Banks would be able to loan more money.

Explanation:

The Fed does indeed do this and it is called the Reserve Requirement. It is a percentage of deposits that banks are to keep with the Fed and it has the effect of reducing the amount of money that banks have available to loan out to entities.

The Fed sets the percentage that the banks are to keep with it and this enables them to use it as a tool to control money supply because they could increase or decrease it depending on how much they want banks to lend out.
