Answer:

State your main idea clearly. ...

Balance the topic sentence between specifics and general ideas. ...

Hook your reader. ...

Keep it short and sweet. ...

Give a reasonable opinion. ...

Use the topic sentence as a transition.

Explanation:

What's an example of a topic sentence?

A topic sentence essentially tells readers what the rest of the paragraph is about. ... For example, if the topic sentence concerns the types of endangered species that live in the ocean, then every sentence after that needs to expound on that subject. Topic sentences also need to relate back to the thesis of the essay.

If the attention grabber was only a sentence or two, add one or two more sentences that will lead the reader from your opening to your thesis statement.

Read the passage from Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and then complete the statement. I strike quickly, being moved. A
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer: Flat

Explanation:

The character who said this is a servant of the house of Capulet named Sampson. He is a flat character because flat characters are simply placeholders in a story that have no depth attached to them. They also do not grow in the story but rather remain as they are from the beginning of the story to the end.

Sampson's sole purpose in Act 1 is to depict the hatred between the servants of the Houses of Capulet and Montague and throughout the Act is shown to be full of hatred for the Montagues. His view never changed and his role wasn't of consequence. He is a flat character.

Read each passage from the story, make a prediction about what will happen based on the clues and your prior knowledge. list one
barxatty [35]

I don’t have prior knowledge to the store but we can predict that something incredible and potentially bad has happened due to the way the writer described how the character said his words and the part that says “as I wished it twisted my hand like a snake”
