American imperialism refers to the policy of extending the control of the United States over areas that do not belong to its territory. This can sometimes include military action, diplomacy or economic intervention.

There are some arguments for imperialism. Some people argue that imperialism can bring political stability and economic success to countries that are under the control of the United States. As the U. S. is one of the most developed countries in the world, it can also bring development to controlled countries.

The arguments against imperialism usually focus on the right of self-determination. People who suscribe to this view argue that all people deserve to have control over their political life, and to be free of foreign intervention. Many also argue that imperialism is a selfish doctrine that often benefits the colonizer while damaging the native population.

What can happen if the president chooses to veto a law that has been approved? The law returns to being introduced in one of the
zepelin [54]

The correct answer is: the president's decision can be overridden by a majority of Congress.

A veto ( from Latin I forbid ) is the power to officially stop an enactment of legislation.

In the United States, every bill, order, act or resolution approved by Congress must be presented to the President for their approval.

The President has 10 days to sign the bill. If he refuses to sign it, he returns it to the Congress with a statement of objection. This is his veto.

Congress considers the objection. Each House may vote to override the President's veto. If 2/3 of each House agree to override it, the bill becomes law.
