One of the adaptations that help the harpy eagle be a very successful rainforest predator is it's size. They can reach 6 1/2 feet and weight up to 20 pounds. In this way, the harpy eagle can hunt animals that are abundant in those forests, such as primates, sloths or even small deer.

Another adaptation is it's talons which can reach 5 inches. These huge talos help them get their preys and perch in a secure way as there is lot of vegetation there.

Lastly, they have small wings compared to their size, this helps them maneuver in the forest density.

The human eye contains more _______ than ________ photoreceptors.
Lena [83]

Answer;

The human eye contains more rods than cones photoreceptors.

Explanation;

-The retina of the human eye is the back part of the eye that contains the cells that respond to light. These specialized cells are called photoreceptors. There are 2 types of photoreceptors in the retina: rods and cones.

-The rods are most sensitive to light and dark changes, shape and movement and contain only one type of light-sensitive pigment. Rods are more numerous than cones in the periphery of the retina. The cones are not as sensitive to light as the rods. However, cones are most sensitive to one of three different colors (green, red or blue).
