7 and -2 adds to 5

7x²+7x-2x-2=0
(7x²+7x)+(-2x-2)=0
7x(x+1)-2(x+1)=0
undistribute
(7x-2)(x+1)=0

set to zero

7x-2=0
7x=2
x=2/7

x+1=0
x=-1

x=2/7,-1
