Answer: The doctrine of containment was United States policy that used numerous strategies to prevent the spread of communism abroad.

The doctrine of containment was implemented in 1947 with Truman Doctrine. Truman Doctrine guaranteed immediate economic and military aid to Greece and Turkey.

Explanation:

The doctrine of containment came into figure by George F.Kennan. This doctrine came just after world war II. This was the time when United States and Soviet Union were involved in Cold War with each other.

During Cold War, Soviet Union was trying to enlarge it's communist influence Eastern Europe, China, Korea and Vietnam. In response to this step of Soviet Union, United States came out with a geopolitical strategic foreign policy know as the doctrine of containment.

2. Each member of the United Nations has one vote in the General Assembly. Do you think this is fair? Explain.
VashaNatasha [74]
As fairness is a subjective term, let's analyse this in terms of what countries are able to do in the situation. In the General Assembly every sovereign nation that joins is allowed to express its opinion and vote within this global body of governance. Some may argue that this gives too much power to tinier nation states. However, the General Assembly allows for these tinier nations to be heard on a global platform, while reigning in any truly disastrous schemes via the permanent bodies of the security council which hold veto powers over any errant decision.
