Henry Hudson conducted certain explorations that gave way to the establishment of the territorial claims of the Dutch in North America. In addition to this, Peter Stuyvesant, became the New Amsterdams Governor, who was disliked for being so strong.

Plus, Peter Minuit bought the island of Manhattan from the Native Americans
