The formula to find the area of a rectangle is
Area=length*width
( area equals length times width)

So you substitute the values in the problem into the equation above.
5 5/8=1 1/2* w

Then you can solve the equation by dividing the 5 5/8 by the 1 1/2, cancelling out 1 1/2 and leaving the w by itself on one half of the equal sign
You are left with
3 3/4 = w

The width of the patio in yards is 3 3/4.

Area = length x width
if the area is 5 5/8, and the length is 1 1/2, all you have to do to find the width is divide the area by the length.
5 5/8 / 1 1/2 = 3 3/4 yards

hope this helped!!

adoni [48]

Answer:

double-blind experiment

Explanation:

A double-blind experiment is one in which both the experimenter and the subjects don't have knowledge of which treatment is given to which participant.

The aim of this method is to avoid bias especially from demand characteristics (experimenter expectation) and placebo effect (perception of benefit from an ineffective substance).

Double-blind experiment is used when CureAll develops a new drug to treat restless legs syndrome, and test the drug's efficacy is designed in such a way that neither the experimenter administering the drug or participants knows which drug is administered.

(Appendix 11.1) Depreciation for Financial Statements and Income Tax Purposes Dinkle Company purchased equipment for $50,000. Th
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

For year 1

According to the Company's Books Depreciation

= (Orginal Cost - Salvage value) ÷ useful Life

= ($50,000 - $5,000) ÷ 10 years

= $4,500

According to the Income Tax Depreciation

= Cost × MACRS Rate for Year 1

= $50,000 × 20%

= $10,000

So, the difference in year 1 is

= $10,000 - $4,500

= $5,500

For year 2

According to the Company's Books Depreciation

= (Orginal Cost - Salvage value) ÷ useful Life

= ($50,000 - $5,000) ÷ 10 years

= $4,500

According to the Income Tax Depreciation

= Cost × MACRS Rate for Year 2

= $50,000 × 32%

= $16,000

So, the difference in year 1 is

= $16,000 - $4,500

= $11,500
