Before 1860s the land was more or less open to those who went there. Some forms of societies lived there but they were not as regulated states as the other states were. After '65, thanks to the homestead act and similar policies people started inhabiting that place more and owning land and organizing even better. This eventually led to the addition of more states westwards of the Mississippi river.

<em><u>During the 1860s the land was more or less exposed to immigrants who went there and were welcomed to forms of societies but were not as regulated states as the other were. After 1865, the Homestead Act and other policies instituted inhabiting the place. This finally led to the totaling of more states westwards of the Mississippi River. </u></em>

Further Explanations:

The ‘Great American Desert’ was the western expanse of the region towards Mississippi river. During the era, only the “Native Americans” were dwelling in that area and were considered inappropriate by the White Americans. Then more folks relocated to the Great Plains. Since then the name of the Great American desert changed to meagre.

After the civil war of 1865 railroads were built in the western regions and that opened the gateway for the white settlers towards those regions. Even American African and Chinese were convinced to dwell in that region and to establish a permanent settlement. The Great Plains now was changed into a well-established dwelling. Bosons were wiped out and the new cattle industry along with the extensive agriculture was instituted. The resultant of the settlement was that more states got established towards the Westward of Mississippi River.

The book is "Taíno" by Jose Barreiro
qwelly [4]

The summary should be done to present your understanding of the book and its elements. I can't write the summary for you, but I'll show you how to do it.

<h3>Explanation of the elements that must be present in the summary:</h3>
  • Tom: the feeling that the text conveyed to you.
  • Environment: The setting where the story takes place.
  • Sensory Images: Descriptions of people or things done in the text that can stimulate your senses and make you feel what was being described.
  • Main characters: The characters that provoke the most important parts of the story and promote the movement of the plot.

To write the summary, you must first read the book to which the question refers. As you read, you will be able to identify the elements described above. To improve your understanding and identification of these elements, you can search for articles that analyze this book and direct you to the plot.

In this form, you can write your summary by following these steps:

  1. First paragraph: Introduce the book, and the author, and give a brief overview of the plot, setting, and characters.
  2. Second paragraph: Show the tone of the text and how that tone is established within the most important events of the book and the behavior of its characters.
  3. Third paragraph: Show how the book is descriptive, capable of creating sensory images and making reading even more efficient.

Below you can see an example of how you can start the summary:

<em>"Taíno" written by Jose Barreiro is a book that bets on the colonization of America and the different and sometimes conflicting visions between Europeans and indigenous people. This is done through the story of the young Taíno, who, when adopted by Cristovon Colombo, embarks on adventures in the American continent and has experiences in culture, colony, environment, and power.</em>

Was the U.S. justified in invading Iraq to remove Saddam Hussein from power?
IrinaK [193]

Answer:

This is a matter of opinion.

Explanation:

Saddam Hussein was a megalomaniac dictator and would stop at nothing to ensure he stayed in power, including betraying allies. I believe the U.S. was justified, but some say that the U.S. should never intervene in foreign affairs.
