Pro:
-unemployment rate went from 25% to 10%
-stronger economy
-parents started buying nearly 3x more educational books for their children

Con:
-factories lengthened work days/ignored labor laws
-even with more job opportunities, the working wages were terrible (30 million were living at poverty level)
-nearly all the women that had been employed during the war were let go that way a man could do it
