Which sentence is punctuated correctly?
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

4th one

Explanation:

A semicolon is a replacement for a period or a comma, which does not make too much sense because it is introducing what the grandmother said.

If you put the semicolon between me and sound, it breaks the sentence in two. It's also the case if you use a colon.

please answer only the first two. I asked this question earlier but realized how little points I was awarding, also I will give
Dovator [93]

The second one seems to be B. Describing the amount of stories told would also imply that it connects the migrants. The first one might be either A or D. A would make sense because bulldozing a field also shows the difficulty of levelling it whereas the others don’t connect as much to the excerpt.

After a small section of his basilar membrane was damaged, Jason experienced a noticeable loss of hearing for high-pitched sound
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

It is best exolained by the place theory

Explanation:

Place theory is a theory of hearing which states that one's perception of sound depends on where each component frequency produces vibrations along the basilar membrane. Therefore, the pitch of a pure tone would be determined by where the membrane vibrates, which explains Jason's inability to hear high-pitched sounds clearly.
