प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के जीवन में एक समय ऐसा जरूर आता है जब लगता है मानों समस्याओं की बाढ़ आ गई हो। ऐसे कठिन समय में व्यक्ति के पास केवल दो ही विकल्प होते हैं या तो वह मुसीबत का सामना करे या भाग जाए। ऐसे में व्यक्ति पर निर्भर करता है कि वह उस मुसीबत का सामना किस प्रकार करता है। यदि वह चट्टान की तरह दृढ़ रहकर समस्या को अपना रास्ता बदल देने को विवश कर दे तो जीत उसकी होगी। वहीं अगर वह रेत की भांति बह जाए तो मुसीबत उसका पीछा नहीं छोड़ती। आगे आचार्य चाणक्य के अनुसार जानेंगे कि मुसीबत आने पर या उससे बचने के लिए व्यक्ति को क्या करना चाहिए।
