5x + 3 = 13

Subtract 3 from both sides.

5x = 13 - 3

Simplify.

5x = 10

Divide both sides by 5.

x = 10/5

x = 2

~Hope I helped!~

In order to solve x, you must isolate it to one side. Let's isolate it to the left side.

First, subtract 3 from both sides.
Results in: 5x = 10

Now in order to get rid of the 5, divide it form both sides.
Results in: x = 10/5

Simplify.

x = 2

Hope that helps

I need the answers to 5&amp;6 explain how you found the answer and I'll give brainliest
ch4aika [34]
I found the answer to 5, but I couldn't see the rest of worksheet to solve 6 thoroughly.

Both of these problems can be solved through substitution using the variables that you know equal a number.

For example #5: 5(3)(3)-7(3)+4
45-21= 24, and 24+8=28

That is how you solve number 5 and can also solve 6 the same way using the same method.

Find the product. <br> a^3b^2 • 4ab^3
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

4a^4·b^5

Step-by-step explanation:

The applicable rule of exponents is ...

  (x^a)(x^b) = x^(a+b)

The commutative and associative properties of multiplication apply, so we can write the expression as ...

  4·(a^3·a)·(b^2·b^3) = 4·a^(3+1)·b^(2+3) = 4·a^4·b^5
