5x + 3 = 13

Subtract 3 from both sides.

5x = 13 - 3

Simplify.

5x = 10

Divide both sides by 5.

x = 10/5

x = 2

~Hope I helped!~

In order to solve x, you must isolate it to one side. Let's isolate it to the left side.

First, subtract 3 from both sides.
Results in: 5x = 10

Now in order to get rid of the 5, divide it form both sides.
Results in: x = 10/5

Simplify.

x = 2

Hope that helps

A zoo has 2 male lions one sixth oh the lions are male lions how many lions are there at the zoo ?
dedylja [7]
It is important to go through details that are provided in the question. Based on those details the answer to the question can be easily deduced.
Let us assume the number of lions at the zoo = x
Number of male lions in the zoo = 2
Then
(1/6) * x = 2
x/6 = 2
x = 2 * 6
   = 12
So there are a total of 12 lions in the zoo. I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. Using this method, it will be possible for you to do similar problems in future without requiring any help from outside. Only be careful about the calculation part.

hram777 [196]

Answer:

J

Step-by-step explanation:

h = 1.32t + 1.56

Replace t with 4 (days):

h = 1.32(4) + 1.56

Multiply:

h=5.28 + 1.56

Add:

h=6.84

The correct choice is J

Ron is planning to buy a condo that costs $85,000. At which mortgage lender will Ron get better deal? How much less will Ron pay
Andreyy89

Mortgage Lender A:

.

85000 - 4500 = 80500

80500\times .03 = 2415

80500 + 2915 = 82915

85000 - 7500 = 77500

77500 \times.06 = 4650

77500 + 4650 = 82150

Lender B is the cheapest by $745!!!
