Answer:

D. all of these

Explanation:

Geologist has been able to use evidence from the rocks, seas etc. to construct a geologic time . The geologic time gives the history and event that has modified the earth structure .

Observing rock sequence has provided important information on the relative age of existence of various sedimentary or volcanic rocks. The principle of superposition states that within a sequence of unaltered sedimentary or volcanic rocks , the oldest rocks layer are found at the bottom and as you go upward it becomes younger. Studying the sequence on how this rocks layers are laid has been able to answer question on the relative age of the various rocks and invariably used to infer geologic time.

Radiometric dating involves using radioactive elements found in rocks to determine their age. The techniques involves studying and measuring the rate at which this radioactive elements decays .Information on the age of the rocks can then be use to construct a geologic time.

Comparing fossils(preserve remains of plants and animals) found in rocks can be used to determine the relative age of rocks .Geologist correlates rocks having similar assemblage of fossil records and concludes it relative age . This relative age can then be used to construct geologic time base on the time the fossil existed within the rocks.

Will someone please help me order them? They have to be from oldest to youngest but I do not know how to do it
Elza [17]
Oldest to youngest- D, A, E, B, C
It's called relative dating, you basically find the rocks that are at the very bottom (oldest), look for the ones that are on the top (younger), but if you find any that are cross cutting, those are the youngest of them all.

What is the impact of the energy imbalance between the equator and poles on weather?
soldier1979 [14.2K]

To maintain a constant global average temperature, all of the sun's radiation that enters Earth's atmosphere must eventually be sent back to space. This is achieved through Earth's energy balance. ... ~50% of the incoming energy is absorbed by the earth's surface i.e. the land and oceans.

1. What do rocks and fossils tell you about the geologic history at a particular location?
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

The type of rock can tell you if the land was formed by layers of sediment, lava, etc. Fossils can show how old they are and therefore how old the land around it is

Under the uplift weathering hypothesis, what is the main factor that influences the global rate of chemical weathering? A) mean
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

A) mean temperature

Explanation:

 • The upliftment weathering hypothesis suggests that the formations of the uplifted terrains the global climate into an icehouse state and the main factor that influences the global state of the chemical weathering are the global rainfall and the high temperatures, like the rocks in the tropical areas, are exposed to the dry and hot weather conditions.
 • Similar to that of the cold areas the rocks are exposed to the cold and first action and the interaction of the moisture contents that transform the minerals in the rocks. Which are ongoing processes through the impacts of the oxidation and hydrolysis.
 • The formation of the acidic contents in the rocks ios created by the impacts of these temperatures on the rocks mass. The carbonization that is an atmospheric process of the addition to carbon contents to the air and impacts the limestone and the chalk rocks.
