Abraham Alfonse Albert Gallatin was a Genevan-American politician who served as a Secretary of the Treasury in United States of America. He was also a linguist and diplomat.

In the year 1826-1827, he was appointed as the ambassador to the London government. He was generally known for his <u>“Treaty of Ghent” </u>which helps in ending up the War of 1812. Gallatin always wants America to be the major nation and should have efficient transportation arteries. So he proposed the idea of <u>Manifest Destiny.</u>
